PERSONALITY QUESTIONS

What skills does your character bring to the situation?
Natalia is a master archer and healer, but beyond that she has very few practical skills. Most of her talent comes from being raised a princess. She is a practiced diplomat as well as a passionate humanitarian, meaning that she has some experience thinking of workarounds to help people that might otherwise fall between the cracks. She's able to cook, but she isn't very good at it. She'll be good at motivating people and keeping up morale... as long as she can motivate herself.

Why did you choose this specific character for 6I, and how do you picture them fitting into the game?
Natalia will be a good addition to the fighting force of the game, and in contrast to Stephanie will be interested in learning more about the village, their circumstances, and how to get home. She'll balance out my roster well.

How do you imagine your character will survive in 6I, and in what ways will they contribute to the settlement, if any?
Natalia will hunt, and do her best to learn skills to make herself useful. She isn't above doing physical labor or getting herself dirty if she has to. How she contributes will depend on what skills she learns and what's needed most. She'll survive initially with a great deal of help from Asch, but she went most of the game doing exactly the same thing and has realized that she needs to learn to be more independent.

How will your character react to...

Being separated, possibly permanently, from loved ones and their previous life, including loss of powers, if applicable?
Natalia has been separated possibly permanently from loved ones and her previous life a few times within the last couple of days/weeks, so while it will be unpleasant and heartbreaking, it's nothing new. At least in this situation it isn't personal.

Their environment being manipulated, possibly in strange or extraordinary ways, and possibly in ways which restrain them?
This will be a point of frustration for Natalia, who's used to being more or less in charge. She has a great deal of pride and won't take it well that someone is trying to manipulate her. Frustration is about as far as it will go, though. She isn't prone to angry hysterics.

Being physically and/or mentally manipulated, such as having hallucinations or suddenly possessing special abilities they did not have before?
Again, this will be very frustrating. She will make use of what special abilities she's granted once she figures them out, but be careful not to depend on them too much. It would be just as foolish to ignore an offered advantage as it would be to run headlong into such an obvious trap.

WRITING SAMPLES

SAMPLE 1
Why did you choose this sample? It seemed characterful
Linked or pasted sample:
Natalia kept her bow strung and at the ready as she began to climb. She had looked at what maps were available, read the guides, knew that more danger would be found in higher altitudes where the small predators would be hiding underfoot. There were large predators to worry about as well, but she could stay clear of caves. Against something like a giant warthog or cave wolf her bow would do her little good, and she had no real weapons or skills in close combat.

When she traveled Auldrant with Luke she had been the most use as a healer. She couldn't depend on her artes here, but she knew basic first aid. She would learn the rest as best she could. Her fellow villagers were her people now, and she would help them however she could. Already she had learned some of the local herblore, including the remedy known as Goldbell. It worked best fresh, but the efficacy wasn't totally lost when the plant was dried. She was rather astonished to find that there was no store of the stuff whatsoever.

She might have asked for help, she knew. But it was a simple task, not nearly so dangerous as others she could think of, and she didn't want to take time away from the important work being done already. Besides, she didn't want to take the chance that someone might refuse her. So she left early in the morning without a word to anyone, determined to return at nightfall with both Goldbell and dinner.

And near nightfall dinner came, an anxious looking elk that had wandered a little too far from home in search of its own dinner perhaps. Natalia stayed still where she was, some hundred yards from her prey. She raised her bow and notched an arrow slowly, so the creature might not notice her. It didn't. It managed to avoid her arrow, though, when something she couldn't see yet caused it to panic and run- right at her, strangely. Then she saw what spooked it, and suddenly empathized greatly with the animal.

It was a cave wolf.

She dropped the second arrow already in her hand and turned, running even as the blood drained from her face. Maybe someone would come to her rescue, as Asch so often did. If she took a different direction from the elk the wolf might let her go... or it might go after her alone, and she would shortly be ripped to shreds by those grizzly bared teeth.

She sincerely wished she had swallowed her stubborn pride and asked for help.
